Industrial robot sales increase by only 1% year-on-year in 2018
Last week, the International Federation of Robotics (IFR) announced preliminary data for industrial robots in 2018 at a press conference in Chicago. Barely set a new record in 2018, with sales only up 1% from 2017. No information was provided about services and agricultural robots.
In fact, the achievements in 2017 are indeed remarkable, with a year-on-year increase of 30%, so that other years are overshadowed by comparison. Although the 30% growth rate is difficult to cross, the 1% growth in 2018 is somewhat incredible. What has slowed this process?
